Experience You Can Taste
Taco El Conquistador was founded in 2001 by Angel and Maria Reyes, whose journey in the restaurant industry began long before they opened their own place. Angel started working as a dishwasher in 1980, while Maria began her career as a busser at El Charro in Tyler in 1995. Those early roles gave them a deep understanding of the hard work, consistency, and care it takes to run a successful restaurant.
After long years of hands-on experience in the industry, they took the step of opening Taco El Conquistador in a small building in downtown Bullard. As their food and service gained popularity, the restaurant quickly became a local favorite, known for its welcoming atmosphere and authentic Tex-Mex flavors. Over time, growth made it clear that a larger space was needed, leading to the 2005 development of their current location, which has been home to the restaurant ever since.
